The Romano-Byzantine enclosure

The Romano-Byzantine enclosure-the north side-is located not far from the sea, the wall of enclosure being refurbished in the II-century “by order of the governor province, Marcus Valeriu Bradua" ,as the inscription informed us. On the sides of the north and west, old excavations have identified a series of quadrilaterals exterior towers being specific to the bizantin architects Cleodamos and Athenaios. The wall, thick of about 2 meters, is built of blocks of carved stone arranged regular after the order pseudoisodomon.
